For RE/MAX Agents

The CLHMS designation is the official designation for The RE/MAX Collection
What are the steps for earning the Certified Luxury Home Marketing Specialist designation?
- Register for the two-day Certification Training. Training is available as a live class and on the RE/MAX Satellite Network (RSN). There are no pre-qualifications for taking the training. The registration fee includes course materials.
- Attend a live training session or watch the course on RSN. With the televised RSN training, you must view the entire course to receive credit. A proctor will administer a test following the broadcast. The test will be submitted to The Institute for Luxury Home Marketing within 10 business days, and you will receive notification of your results from The Institute shortly thereafter.
- Once you have completed the training (and passed the test if you viewed the training on RSN), you will receive a one-year membership in The Institute for Luxury Home Marketing. We will send you a New Member Packet in the mail. You'll also be able to activate your account on our website and access the MEMBERS ONLY section, where you can download the application for the CLHMS designation, including a form to verify that you have met the performance requirements.
- When you have met the performance requirements, complete the CLHMS application form, attach documentation, and forward to The Institute for Luxury Home Marketing.
- When verification of performance requirements has been reviewed and approved by The Institute, you will receive your CLHMS designation. You will also receive a certificate, 10 gold seals bearing the designation, and 10 formal announcement cards and matching envelopes to send to your center of influence (Members can order more of these in the MEMBERS ONLY section of our website).
- Sales professionals who earn the designation and submit at least two properties sold at one million dollars or more will receive the special recognition of being members of the Million Dollar Guild, a select group within The Institute.
Do I have to meet the performance requirements before I can take the training?
No, you can take the training and meet performance standards later. You will be a member of The Institute, but you must not promote yourself as having the Certified Luxury Home Marketing Specialist (CLHMS) designation until you have met the performance requirements and The Institute sends you confirmation that you have earned it.Details on earning the CLHMS designation
